In the second week of August in 2022, the 16th International Wind Band Festival "Mürtsub pill" will take place again in Tartu.

 It has been more than two years since it has been possible for wind musicians to come together in Tartu. This time "Mürtsub pill" is already the 16th in the series and will take place on the 10th-14th of August 2022 in the Estonian National Museum and Tartu Town Hall Square. Preparatory events and rehearsals will take place on the 7th-9th August.

Wind orchestras, musicians, instrumental soloists and guest conductors from Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Poland, Greece and Estonia will be coming. Line drummers, the United Wind Band, the Symphonic Wind Band and Saxophone Orchestra of the festival will also take place.

On the 10th of August at 19:00 and on the 11th of August at 18:00 prestigious guests from Hungary, Latvia, and Estonia will perform on the ERM stage.12th-14th of August, the festival's participants will perform in Tartu Town Hall Square. The Gala Concert of the festival will take place on the 14th of August at 17:00 and the Wind Orchestra of the Estonian Conductors Academy, the United Wind Band of the festival and the Symphonic Wind Orchestra of the festival will also be performing there.
